The Documentary Fund

The Documentary Fund contains more than 50,000 artefacts, documents and materials relating to history of all means of telecommunications starting from 1722 up to the present times. It is systematised and subdivided into sections: the “Post”, the “Telegraphy”, the “Telephony”, the “Radio”, the “Television”, the “Satellite and Space Communication”. There are unique documents of the Postal Department and Chief Administration, later on Ministry, of Post and Telegraphs, authentic Imperial decrees, personal funds of P.L. Shilling, B.S. Jacobi, A.S. Popov, B.L. Rosing, M.F. Freidenberg and others, funds of communication establishments, and Nijegorodsky Radio Laboratory, in particular. It holds ample array of statistic materials, drafts and schemes, charts and maps, architect’s drawings and replicated graphics, cine- and photo- documents.
